With that information we cant assure you about anything. But, usually the Mobos for the Phenom II would come with PCIe 2.0, which are compatible witch is compatible with your GPU.

Yes...it has 2 PCI-e connectors and i connected both. Someone else suggested i might need a AM3 or AM3+ motherboard to be able it to run. Would you agree?

No, I wont, the cpu socket should not limit the gpu you are using...

So what is your suggestion...? Because i cannot think of anything else but the motherboard. I just get a black screen when i boot my pc. However once in like every 20 tries i get picture? So its wierd...seems like something is limiting its power or something. Would a BIOS update help?

What was your older gpu? I am more inclined to say that your new gpu came with a defect then to say the mb has a problem.
About the BIOS, yeah, updating it would be good as well, but for that you need the exact model of the mb, which you didnt posted here....

Note: am2+ is a socket, Foxconn is a manufacturer that assemble hardware for others... We will need more info about your motherboard before we can state that your gpu is not compatible with it.

a7vmx-k AMI Foxconn, 2x2GB DDR2 RAM - mobo
I'm really a noob and dont even know how to update my bios. What really bugging is that once in like every 20 boot up i get display on my monitor so it works fine, so I dont think that the gpu is defect. Its also brand new.
