I need a better processer to play my games i have the acer aspire with amd a8 and was wondering if i could upgrade to 17

what model is your pc?
by "17" do you mean an intel core i7? if yes, and if you own a pc with amd a8 apu, you won't be able to install a core i7 cpu on the amd motherboard. they are incompatible. your best bet is the top amd apu your pc's motherboard allows.
