hi
i tested my cpu and had a score of 6900, i have 64 bit os and geekbench 3 tested it with 32 bits, supprisingly after the test i saw that geekbench said: FX 8320, 1 processor, 3 cores, 4 threads.
but it is a 8 core processor.
i also have a GA-78lmt mobo
my question is, does my system runs on all the cores my processor provides or not. if not, how do i unlock all the cores and threads?

sorry for my english
i hope someone could help me!

Have you tried going into the BIOS UEFI and checking that all the cores are recognized? Sometimes, for various reasons, there could be software problems that are preventing the core from being recognized.

If the motherboard UEFI and maybe a few other programs (e.g., DXDIAG, Piriform Speccy, CPU-Z, Prime95, etc.) only count your P.C. as having "3" cores, then it's probably a hardware problem, and time to RMA.

when i go into the bios it says
1-2 cores (enabled)
3-4 cores (enabled)
5-6 cores (enabled)
7-8 cores (enabled)

so this means he can see that there are 8 cores right?

Your motherboard can see that there's 8 cores. Now, if you run a couple of other programs, like DXDIAG (which comes with windows), CPU-Z, Piriform speccy, etc. [basically anything program that gives you information about your computer's hardware] and they tell you your CPU has 8 cores, you can assume that everything's working as normal, and it's just that Geekbench is acting up.

I fixed the problem, when i was in msconfig I had forgotten that it checked the box of the number of cores. unchecked it and now everything shows me that i have 8 cores and 8 threads.

I still want to thank you for taking the time to help other people with there problems :)
