Do 25 pin serial ports exist?

I have a cable to interface with Motorola radios and it has a DB25 connector at the end which I'm told is a serial connector. But every serial connector I've seen has a DB9 9 pin connector. I've looked for PCI cards with a 25 pin DB25 connector but almost none to be found.

I tried a DB9 to DB25 converter but it cuts out one of the pins so that won't work.

I've found some expensive PCI serial cards with a DB25 connector but they state a different standard RS422/485‎ to the other serial cards so I don't know which standard is needed or if it makes a difference. No idea what I'm doing here!

I have several, but I'm old.

The most common back in the day was a 9 pin on one end, and a 25 pin on the other.

The 9 pin plugged into the computer, and the 25 pin plugged into the dial up modem.

The right adapter should work.
Edit
The 9 pin is female, and the 25 pin is male.

I have a strange serial cable with a flat cable, and ends that unplug.
I know I used it on a modem at one time, and the 25 pin end only has 7 pins, so a modem doesn't even need 9.
