I have a cable to interface with Motorola radios and it has a DB25 connector at the end which I'm told is a serial connector. But every serial connector I've seen has a DB9 9 pin connector. I've looked for PCI cards with a 25 pin DB25 connector but almost none to be found.
I tried a DB9 to DB25 converter but it cuts out one of the pins so that won't work.
I've found some expensive PCI serial cards with a DB25 connector but they state a different standard RS422/485 to the other serial cards so I don't know which standard is needed or if it makes a difference. No idea what I'm doing here!
