Iomega external hardrive not there!

Hi, I am a complete novice with computers, so I need idiot proof instructions please! I have had an Iomega hard drive for a few years after the hard drive on my PC failed. I havent used the external storage for a while and when plugged it it doesnt appear anywhere and I am struggling to find out how to see it! It does not appear under disk management. Any step by step help much appreciated!

Without being able to see it Disk Management there's not a lot you can do. Are you quite sure it's not shown there?
External drives that haven't been assigned a drive letter will usually been shown there as "Raw" with no model name.

If it's definitely is not shown there, and assuming the drive itself hasn't failed, buying a third-party enclosure for it may be the answer, as the bridge-chip in the Iomega enclosure may have failed.
