thinking of upgrading to a sapphire r9 270x

yep CX 500 of corsair has 30+amps on its +12v rail so it can handle R9 270x. but i prefer that you go buy R9 270 only much energy efficient and can do the same perfromance as 270x and it is cheaper. just try to scroll down a bit http://forum-en.msi.com/faq/article/printer/power-requirements-for-graphics-cards

Most important thing is no.of graphics processing units. 270 have 1280 graphics processors compared to 640 of 7770ghz. Even if r9 270 clock speed is a bit slower it will still give about twice the performance of 7770ghz.
