Is it possible to mount a hard drive in the 5.25" drive bay? Will everything clear each other? Thank you.

I guess you could mount a HDD to the 5.25" drive bay, but why would you want to? The case has four 3.5" drive bays for HDD. The case supports tower CPU coolers up to 160mm and the Hyper 212 EVO is 159mm tall, so it should work fine. I don't see any problems with the build other than I'm not sure where the 230mm fan goes or if it will interfere with the CPU cooler.

I think you could, but why bother?
The case has sufficient internal mounts.
If you are thinking about hot swap, there are such units that will fit in a 5.25" external bay.
