evga k-boost caused bsod?

I never noticed this k-boost before but gave it a try. Once it was turned on this happened.. first game exited itself when loaded then on another game it caused bsod when game was loading campaign. Now turned k-boost off but wondering why this would happen? Its something i have done without but still...

nvidia gtx 680 - never been clocked only change is a custom fan setting 10% fan speed above any current temp so i never exceed 61c. Or 74% fan speed,

Hey, I am not 100% sure why this is happening, but I would just not mess with the clock. Do you absolutely need to over clock it? Also what are your reasons for over clocking. As always when people touch their clock through these programs, I just tell them "No, learn to do it the right way through your gpu bios." I have plenty of experience and find that these issues generally don't happen when you do it the tried and true method of bios. If you have any questions feel free to post back or pm me. So are you saying don't use programs like Afterburner? How does one access the GPU's BIOS, if not through a program?

hi, no reason for me to overclock gpu at all i just stumbled upon this k-boost via precision x so tried it as curios but gpu didnt like it. Have turned it off anyway and letft gpu how it was for past yr anyway.

Had a month of bsod due to faulty ram so cant be doing with causing bsod which i can control lol.
