why doesnt my graphics card not use any of its 2Gb of memory?

I have an ASUS RADEON R7 240 WITH 2Gb memory and have looked at the monitor supplied with it and it never uses one bit of memory why?. Not a heavy gamer only have FSX/ACC right now.

it uses its memory or you wouldn't be able to use the card. The monitor is wrong or you are reading it wrong

Did you monitor the usage while playing a game? Have you tried monitoring the usage with Afterburner or another tool?

If it is zero while playing games then something is wrong with the tool. Also, you will never use the full 2GB in games because the card is simply too slow for that. You would probably get the exact same performance if you only had 1GB.
