I have recently purchased parts for my first build..
mobo-Asus p8z77-v pro
cpu_Intel core i7 3770 (reusing from alienware x51)
cpu cooler-Corsair H110 water cooler
Gpu-Asus r9 270x c
Cd drive-Asus dvd writer/reader
Hard drive-1tb seagate hybrid drive
Memory/ram-MSI Z77 Mpower 4x2gb(not on the approved ram list)
Case-fractal design arc x
Psu-corsair 750watt csm series
So to start with i hooked it all up.. Had a problem getting it all to run for more than a second turns out i had hooked up the water cooler all wrong.. FIxed that issue.. Got it to run but no display..
The memok/dramled is shining red.. I attempted to switch the ram sticks around.. Using only one stick and using the memok button to try and sync the memory.. But would not work.. So i dug out the samsung ram sticks(they are on the approved ram list).. I put them in repeated the processes
i did with the msi ram.. Nothing still no display into the bios..
if someone could please give me hope.. That or the mobo is dead
Oh and i also used different displays and used the video card output and mobo output..
