Hi, lately i'm having this problem that whenever i plug in my headphones on my pc, i only hear from the leftside of my headphones. But when i push the headphones jack a little bit down than i hear from both sides, I am pretty sure that there is something wrong with thefront audio device of the pc because my headphones work correctly when i plug them on a different device. I don't think that it has to anything to do with software and i think there is something wrong with the front audio device of the pc, but i don't know how to get rid of it. Shall i just buy a new front audio device and get it installed or is there any hope left to fix this on my own? Sorry for my english and please help.

Hi. It may be your case. On my case (Fractal R4) the headphone jacks are a bit lower than the rest of the case itself (like it's in the bottom of a little hole). This prevents my speakers, which has a thick layer of rubber above the plug, to not be able to go fully into the headphone jack. It results in just getting sound on one side (left side). And when i push it down it works.

There is most likely nothing wrong with your headset or any software.

I suggest you plug it into your motherboard (in the audio jack at the back of the computer). This will probably solve it if it's a desktop computer.

If it's a laptop and there is no other audio jack, you could try to remove some of the rubber with a sharp knife to get it to fit.

It's not 100% sure that this is the case, so check out my theory and let me know. (Just post in this thread again.)

Hi. I think my headphones don't go fully in my computers front audio device, i just tried plugging in the jack of my speakers in the front audio device and i had sound from one speaker instead of two, i have a desktop. The headphones worked just fine when i plugged them into my motherboard. But it seems to be a bit annoying to keep switching the jacks of the headphones and my speakers, but the method works. Do you have a method to fix the front audio device so i can use it again? It looks like the audio device is pushed inside because i have two USB slots and whenever i stick a usb in it don't go fully inside too, but like somewhere in the middle. The pc recognizes it though.
