I have a custom built rig:
Mobo: ASUS Z87-A (running ASUS UEFI Bios)
Windows 7 X64
Intel Core i7 3.5 GHZ
2 X 500 GB WD internal HDs.
All is well with the PC, but I'm a bit stomped at the moment. I have an internal WD 500 GB drive that I use for storage (I have a separate drive for the BOOT). Since I'm running out of room on the storage drive I bought a WD 1.0T SATA drive to replace it.
When I remove the storage drive and put the new drive into the rig, it boots to the BIOS as expected to set the boot priority (and the BIOS does see the new drive). However, after setting the priority to the BOOT drive, it reboots and then goes right back into the BIOS. It will not boot to Windows while the new drive is installed.
I pulled out the new storage drive, put back the old one, and it boots up fine. Anyone have any idea why this is happening?
Thanks
