While they should be compatible, some of the older AM3+ motherboards require having their BIOS flashed before use with a Vishera CPU. Also check your user manual (either online or the one that came with the mobo) to ensure that it will support a 125 watt CPU. I believe it will support the CPU, though, seeing as most of the older phenom II CPU's had over 125 watt power draws.
