While they should be compatible, some of the older AM3+ motherboards require having their BIOS flashed before use with a Vishera CPU. Also check your user manual (either online or the one that came with the mobo) to ensure that it will support a 125 watt CPU. I believe it will support the CPU, though, seeing as most of the older phenom II CPU's had over 125 watt power draws.

I'm looking at this - http://www.gigabyte.com/support-downloads/cpu-support-popup.aspx?pid=4125 - and all I see are 95w CPUs.
