Hi

I just set up Win 7 on a new desktop, as my old one died.

I don't seem to have any way to navigate to the desktop from explorer. My old system had a Desktop icon that allowed me to see the desktop like any other directory.

I have tried right-clicking Favorites, and selecting Restore favorite links, and have searched through explorer menus for settings, but cannot find a solution.

Is there a trick to it?

Thanks for your time and help.

Solution
The easiest way for you:
navigate to c:\users\username where username is your current username.
Drag the folder named "desktop" to your favorites area

You now have a quick link to your desktop within explorer!
