VGA to hdmi cabel or converter?

My graphics card has hdmi port free and my 3rd monitor is VGA hook up. I was not sure which would work. Should I just get a VGA to hdmi cabel or do I need the VGA to hdmi converter?? Thanks for the help

what is on your GPU? 1 DVI, 1 VGA, and 1 HDMI? no DP?

It's a gtx 760 so no VGA just hdmi dvi and dang I can't remember the 3rd one sorry. So you recommend a converter?
