Is it just me, or does Toshiba have terrible RMA support? Some of the links on their online RMA system takes forever to load, and their website has contradicting information. I requested a RMA on February 4, but only got the things I need to send my hard drive safely recently, so I decided to wait until my RMA canceled itself (as you can't cancel it yourself) so avoid having the RMA cancel after I had sent it. It said very clearly in the email they sent to me that the RMA number will be canceled if the product is not received within 30 calendar days. Yet when I requested another RMA with the same serial number, it said a RMA was open. This is ridiculous. I realize I could call the support number but I'd much rather not. I can't believe I'm forced to do this. A major company's return system should be easy enough to use that people shouldn't have to call a support line every time they want a RMA. Ughhhhh.

Most companies are not great with returns.. my uncle had the same kind of problems with HP awhile back. He sent in his hard drive, rendering his laptop pretty useless until the new HD arrived ( usually 3 weeks ) and then after the 3rd replacement, they ended up asking him to send back the whole laptop, they said it was probably a hardware issue with the mobo. He sent them a $1500 laptop that he went online and customized to do everything he wanted to do, they sent him back a completely different model, saying it was comparable, and in fact it was missing several of the options he originally wanted and had on the first laptop. he also saw this new model, being sold at wal-mart, for around $800. he was very disappointed. after about another 2 years, it finally died. I sent him a Dell D630 ( I work for an IT asset recovery company and have access to just about anything ) and he's never had a problem with it...
