Hello to everyone,

Well I have decided to buy a new GPU I currently own and would like help deciding.

Currently Owned:
Fx 8320-Cpu
Gigabyte 990 fxa ud3-Mobo
600w Corsair GS-PSU
Xfx 7850 2gb -Gfx Card
1080p Monitor-Happy with medium decent frames quality

Potential buys:
Gtx 760-Around 270-280 dollars
Another 7850 to crossfire-Around 200 dollars
Wait for R9 series to come down in price (If they do any time soon)
Or finally a gtx 770/new future card (Dont feel like spending too much atm)

Thank you for your advice.

well, obviously dual 7850 is better but is the hassles of crossfire really worth it, in my opinion yes.

In games that support crossfire, 7850 crossfire and crush a GTX 760 and you will be able to max out anything at 1080p.

The GTX 760 can't on the other hand max out everything at 1080p.

I normally do suggest going for 1 stronger GPU but in this case, I would actually say go for two cards over the one.

Edit; make sure your case has good airflow as crossfire gets hot.

If you already have a 7850, get another 7850 and crossfire. Even if your choices are a single 760 or 2x7850, I would suggest you to get the 7850 as 760 is not THAT strong either. 7850 costs about 180$. So for 360$, I would recommend a 770 over 7850x2, but surely 7850x2 over a single 760 simply because of raw performance gain will be the major factor and commom XFire problems like heating, big psu etc can be overlooked.

A case you suggest for a dual set up? I was thinking the Phantom 410.

Thank you for the reply.

Yea I thought so, do you think dual 7850s would last awhile? Im pretty sure theyll last at least a year more up to medium graphics and if so, then I have no problem upgrading in the future. 600w psu should be sufficient yes?

Alright thank you very much for your advice! Hope you have a great night...or day. :)

Edit: Thank you I was planning on adding fans and was wondering how to direct airflow.

Good 600W PSU will be ok, but just for being on the safer side, get a 650 or 700W.

You will be more future proof with just a single graphics card like the 770 so that you can get another for SLI in an year or so. Yes dual 7850 should do the job for some time but you will have to get new cards for update as 3 Way crossfire is not that much optimized.

I updated previous post and This is what i suggested;

Back, Outtake

Front, Intake

Top, Outtake

Side, Inake

If you have any other fan mounts, i.e. bottom, use that as Intake.

Crossfire 7850's hands down.

Just take caution to make sure that your PSU and mobo can handle it, and if you have enough airflow.
Also, you might have to deal with a little bit of noise, because running any two cards could be loud.

I only want them to run well for about a year or so until I have more room to spend money on myself, family comes first, so by then ill probably get a high grade single gpu. Thank you very much.
