Are LCD wipes safe for removing thermal compound?

I bought some thermal paste to re-paste my laptop cpu and gpu. I don't have any isopropyl alcohol on hand, but I do have a bunch of endust lcd wipes. Are these safe to use for removing the old paste?

No, they contain more than just rubbing alcohol. Just a coffee filter will work, the alcohol isn't completely necessary if you're very thorough, just don't use anything rough.
