Ok so I was curious that if the mobo I am upgrading to supported both my current ram and hard drive, if I could transfer them from my current PC to the one I am building. I was once told before that it is possible but I want to make sure I have all of my information straight before doing anything.

Yes you can, But don't expect your PC to boot how it normally did in your old system, you will have to re-install windows again in the new build so it is best if you need anything from that HDD, you back it up before doing so. Installing HDD In system A, may not boot if you change it to System B in short.

Make sure that the new motherboard has the Right SATA (II/III 6GB/s ect..)connection for the drive, as you will get problems or cause damage to your system if it is the wrong connection.

PC specs would help.
