Hey everyone. So I have hopefully a quick Hard Drive question for the experts out there. I have a home server that one of the 2TB drives failed in it and I am looking to buy a new one. I was thinking about this:

Although it doesn't say, I am assuming that red hard drives run at 5400 rpm. This hard drive will contain files that will be accessed at the same time over the local network by four different computers. My question is, will I notice any loss of speed if I was to buy this hard drive or do you think I should just buy a 2TB Black Hard drive? (This to be more specific: http://amzn.com/B00FJRS628)

The hard drive that failed was a Western Digital Enterprise Grade hard drive and failed within a year of purchase. It was a little overboard to buy an Enterprise hard drive for just a home server (at least I thought so) but I was thinking it was really going to last me awhile. On my personal computers, I have black hard drives still going strong. That's why I am not sure which direction to go. Hope to get a response soon! Thanks Everyone!

Solution
I would normally suggest not spending the extra on drives like Blacks or surveillance stuff. The bottleneck is probably your GbE port.

My advice is to get the cheapest 7200RPM drive you can.

Yeah I believe it is...but the catch is I need it this week and I don't mind spending the money. I will be sending the hard drive back to get a replacement but in the meantime I need another one this week.
