Crazy temperature reading

So, just fired up my brand new PC. Asus Z87M-Plus with i5-4670k. Download HWMonitor to check the vitals and BAM! The mainboard temperature reading is a whopping 115/116C!! TZ00 and TZ01 are around 30C. Opened up the case, checked the chipset heatsink and it`s just nicely warm, not melting my fingers hot. And my old pc Asus H61 mobo had kind of the same issue, the mobo readings were always around 85C. So, is it really a faulty temperature sensor or is my mobo going to melt soon?

Ps: Two Asus mobos in a role with crazy temp reading...

Its not Asus' fault. HWMoniter uses various inputs/codes to detect temperature and in your case the motherboard is not giving the right info. This is because HWMoniter is not designed/coded for every mobo.

The only reading I would trust are the reading in the BIOS and any software that came with the MOBO. Compare the readings to the ones in HWMoniter and look for similarities, and any other reading I would disregard.

Didn`t even started OCing, thats just the standard reading. So, another faulty sensor...?

I believe this is another coding glitch, VCORE may refer to the VCCIN.
VCCIN of 1.760V is very normal. Mine is 1.8V

VCCIN is the voltage supplied to the CPU from the motherboard. The VCORE (VID) is the voltage supplied to the core.

Yes, this is what I could think of otherwise VCore of 1.76 means :fou:

So, I did the jumper thingy and nothing changed. Still crazy reading from HWMonitor, BUT, bios states that the 1.76V is for VCCIN and CPUID shows Vcore of 0.8V. So I guess the issue maybe with HWMonitor. Any other program I can use?
