I just bought Logitech G400s yesterday, everything is fine until I noticed there is something odd with the DPI button behavior.

Somehow, if I dont' press both of the DPI buttons (+ and -) quite hard, It doesn't recognized the input. Is it normal for G400S? Or there is something wrong with my unit? I also check the other buttons and they are just fine.

Thanks. :)

You can feel it clicking? do you hear a click sound? if you do and it doesn't recognize the input then if the mouse has a software try resetting the mouse to default settings and try if it works..

If this doesn't work out then your device is probably defective.

Yeah I can feel it clicking, and it does a clicking sound. The problem is sometimes it doesn't recognize the input, sometimes it recognized it until I pressed it hard enough.

Already trying resetting the mouse to default and it did not solve my problems. :(

I had one G400s for about 7 months now it's working fine today I bought another one to my other computer and I have the same problem that you speak about my (-) button on the DPI dos not register until I press it a bit harder than other buttons! my older mouse button seems better than the new one tho it's not very good because some time it can miss this button also, anyway it's not a very big deal and I think it might be softer with time, how is yours now after about 3 months?

I have the exact same problem except all the three top side round-shaped buttons are defective. They click and then I need to add a lot of force until the mouse press is registered. Not nice. I guess I have to send it back and request for a new one. But it'd be great if someone can comment how they got this fixed (either by time or by replacement). I am skeptical that I will just receive another defective unit as this is clearly a common problem with G400s.

I tried to return my G400s to a local shop but they said that the small top buttons bad contact problem is normal for this model and therefore they said there's no use getting another one. Could someone confirm whether they have a G400s that triggers the top buttons every time when the buttons click (or is additional force needed)?

(Edit: I accidentally posted to wrong window, fixed.)
