There is a F key you use at start up and follow through the prompts. I think it is F10 or F12. Sometimes it is F2 though... Otherwise you can spend like $30 on recovery discs and use the optical drive to reinstall. I am about to do the same thing on a Gateway laptop (same company), cost $30 for the discs - I had to replace the hard drive so there is no recovery partition...
