I'm getting intermittent disconnections from devices attached to my motherboard directly, but not so much on the front panel. I don't get the "disconnection sound" from Windows either. I have an ASUS P8Z77-LE LGA 1155 Mobo.

Thanks!

Check Control Panel, Power Options, Set to High Performance Mode.

Make sure drivers are properly installed.

Check BIOS for legacy and other USB options (if 3.0) still look around and mess with those if you have to.

For better compatibility connect keyboard/mouse on USB 2.0 ports. Does not seem to be a problem with mobo though. Check your settings on Power Profiles.

Are there any other devices giving these symptoms? Any BSOD? Please provide complete system specs including PSU

check for BIOS update of your mobo. Update it. After updating clear the CMOS.

I'll get to trying your guys' solutions tomorrow, as it is late tonight. Thanks for the help so far!

what i was able to find about thermaltake smart series PSU's is they are rated accurately which is good, they test well, but the only problem is they use CapXon capacitors in the psu which have been known to be crap quality and fail/explode regularly. this may have changed in the past couple years but they at least have a 5 year warranty right? only thing is if a PSU fails they arent going to cover your other parts that were fried.

Okay, I tried to change the power plan settings, and nothing happened. Get this, the Webcam isn't being recognized in the port that I have it in for USB 2.0 (I think it is a USB 1 Webcam). This just started today. I think I'm seeing the deterioration of my Motherboard o_O

Should I give a try at launching the computer in safe mode?
