i have an amd hd 7750 and want to play battlefield 4 on it at 1680x1020.. i downloaded the beta mantle drivers but they didnot work correctly instead i faced a hefty drop in the FPS on battlefield 3(i know it isnt mantle supported) but if it gives me mantle at the cost of loosing me directx performance then i m not willing to try it.. when is the stable release expected?

Solution

radeon hd 7750 has gcn 1.0 architecture, mantle supports it.

@OP: however, current mantle is aimed at reducing cpu overhead, and 7750 is not strong enough to be bottlenecked by most cpus, so mantle won't show much gain over directx.

in bf4, you have the choice to use either dx or mantle. mantle is a work in progress for now, only amd can say when they'll release a stable version.

mantle is released, but it isn't optimized for your gpu yet, plus its a beta driver you have so don't complain if you found issues, and for a stable version you will have to wait for amd to release mantle on a non beta driver, i believe that might take a while because mantle still isn't out for notebooks with enduro or powerxpress gpus yet, unless they want to rush things of course.
and I hope this gets things clear for you :)
