What OC setting have you got on your FX 8350?

Is it easy to get a stable 4.8ghz on the 8350 providing you have a good cooler? (I have noctua nhd14) i understand every chip is different but what sort of OC docyou guys have on the 8350 with the nh d14 or similar?

yes, also you will need 6 (minimum) or preferably 8 phases for the CPU VRMS. if you have 4 CPU phases on the motherboard you wont get past 4.4 with even the best cooling. Cooling is important, but wont matter if the motherboard doesn't have enough/quality VRMs (Power Phases).

Ive got an asus sabertooth which is one kf the best am3 motherboards and I have the noctua nh d14 which is obe of thr best coolers so providing i have a decen chip do you think i could get 4.8-4.9 ghz stble?

yeah, and if its not stable its not the board its your settings. that board, cooler, and chip, are all capable of reaching 5 Gh stable. the noctua might be the limiting factor here, all depends on your temps, I will say 4.8 will certainly be possible. 5 Ghz maybe but very likely. Where do you live?
