Hello ...

I bought sapphire r9 270X 2GB OC recently, but when I play some of the new games I got low fps like 15 - 25 for most games.
I have kinda old CPU phenom II x4 955 3.2 GHZ ... do I have a bottle neck ?? or there is something wrong with my new card ?

My pc spec.
AMD Phenom II x4 955 3.2 GHZ
Sapphire Dual-X R9 270X 2GB OC
8 GB Kingston Hyperx ddr3
MSI 790FX-GD90

I am really worried about having a problem with my gpu, please help.

Thank you and have a nice day

Which games?

You definitely have a bottleneck, depending on the game.

What resolution are you gaming? What games and settings?

A 270x should be awesome. maybe the phenom is holding you back.

Especially in Crysis 3. Do not trust youtube as a source. But yes, your CPU is holding you back.

I agree. The culprit is your CPU. Can you upgrade the CPU + Mobo?

I dont think that your CPU is your bottleneck. To check this, you should lower the details and compare FPS before and after. The problem with your board is, that you cant upgrade to FX, so you will need to buy a decent board. If you have low budged, you can still use the Asus M5A78L_LE. Its kinda cheap and supports the FX 8350. Its only the 760G chipset but its ok for the price. But first of all you should do the details step please.

I do not believe its the cpu either i have a phenom ii x4 965 with a r9 270 both overclocked and i dont get any bottlenecks not even in bf3 the gpu usage is always in the 90's, and in tomb raider it is pegged at 99% gpu usage going any where from 59-80 fps. You should check or drivers, is your hard drive slow?
