Hi everyone,

I finished my new build recently with the following parts:

- CPU: AMD FX-8320 3.5GHz 8-Core Processor
- Motherboard: MSI 970A-G43 ATX AM3+ Motherboard
- Memory: Patriot Signature 4GB (1 x 4GB) DDR3-1333 Memory
- Memory: Patriot Signature 4GB (1 x 4GB) DDR3-1333 Memory
- Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
- Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 760 2GB Video Card
- Case: NZXT Source 210 Elite (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case
- Power Supply: Corsair CX 600W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply
- Optical Drive: LG GH24NSB0 DVD/CD Writer
- Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (OEM) (64-bit)
- Monitor: Hannspree HE225DPB 21.5" Monitor
- Keyboard: A4Tech G800V Wired Gaming Keyboard

I assembled it outside the case first and the test boot worked without any problems.

When I assembled everything in the case, the machine booted, all the fans turned on, and on the monitor a message came up telling me to reboot and select boot option. The machine stayed on for two or three minutes then shut off by itself. Since then when I try to switch it on nothing happens, or sometimes a fan twitches before stopping again.

I have ran the following checks since then to try and determine the problem:
- Triple-checked everything is wired correctly. As far as I can tell it is.
- Attempted reboot with one stick of memory. No luck.
- Switched it off and on again (obviously).
- Checked the placement of the standoffs. The motherboard is sitting where it should be and there are no extra standoffs in place.
- Checked that the pins on the CPU are not bent.

After these checks I'm still staring a hunk of dead metal at the moment. I've been searching around forums and found a few similar problems and it seems that a faulty PSU could be the cause.

Here are some pictures of the inside in case anything obvious stands out: http://imgur.com/a/BsMom

So what do you guys think? I really appreciate your help!
