Hi! I want to buy a new desktop PC specs:
CPU FX X8 8350
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 760 OC, 2GB(windforce)
ASUS M5A97 R2.0 Socket AM3+ ATX
2x 4GB DDR3 Corsair Vengeance Black 4GB 1600MHz CL9 1.5V
1TB seagate
Ram and mothreboard will be changed once i will look at them more closely, so that ram is in qualified vendors list.
So i have my old build now which runs on 550W Chieftec(box says 80% efficiency)
Link
but i have 2x 6 pin for pci-e not 1x 6pin and 1x 6+2 pin.
GeForce GTX 760 windforce require 1x 6pin and 1x 6+2pin but it comes with transitions for that.
PSU is about 5 years old but still very quite and to date it used at max 250w
As i checked at http://www.extreme.outervision.com/ my build will require
Minimum PSU Wattage: 383 W
Recommended PSU Wattage: 433 W
So any tought will my 550W will hold new build. I wont be overclocking and prob not adding anything on besides maybe changing CPU cooler
Feel free to suggest any other componet of my build tho i would like to stick to FX X8 8350

Solution
Your PSU will run GTX-760 with easy the only thing you have to do is just use the 6pin to 8pin adapter which comes with your GTX-760

is there any risk of using older PSU that can damage whole system?
It has - Over voltage protection, Over temperture protection, Over current protection.
Obv new is always better, but i would really like to use old one as it is in good condition.
Would it be dumb to save money here? even if i can run without problems?

Your PSU can run single GTX-760 with no problem, but if you scare about your PSU you can get XFX 550W PSU
