Hey everybody, I'm planning to build a PC for my friend staying on lowest budget possible and using other PC part I have around. For now I have the following components:
- 450watt PSU
- NVIDIA 540
- AMD athlon x2 64 6000+
- 2x 2gb ram ddr2
- 1 tb HDD
- case and CD reader from other unused PC parts.
The main question is about the mobo, since the CPU I have is a am2 socket I found this motherboard Asrock 960GC-GS FX that can run am2 and am3+ CPUs and ddr2/ddr3 ram so when my friend will have some money he will be able to change the CPU with a fx6300 and slowly upgrade all the PC with new components. Is that motherboard OK for the CPU I have? Can I oc it? Will it be OK for the fx6300 or will it be crappy?
