Question about SSDs?

Is it possible to install my operating system on the SSD but still have my HDD as my main storage? Also if I have my OS on my SSD, will I still be able to access my HDD? Sorry, I'm a little confused about how this works and I need someone to help me out.

yea basically you just have the OS on the ssd, then you can either access the storage hdd through my computer, or just change the directories where you store stuff, like change the downloads/movies/music etc, folder from the normal C drive to your hdd (probably D drive)
