Hello all,
After reformatting my PC, I can't get my Xonar DS to work.
I have my Logitech Z-5500 connected via Optical cable to my Asus Xonar DS.
I have installed Windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit). I have my PC connected via HDMI to an LG TV.
Here is what I have tried so far:
- disabling and uninstalling the High Definition Audio Device drivers
- disabled Windows Automatic driver update
- installing the Xonar DS (windows 7) latest drivers from the Asus website (http://www.asus.com/Sound_Cards_and_DigitaltoAnalog_Converters/Xonar_DS/#support)
-I have checked Device Manger and set 'Speakers - Asus Xonar DS Audio Device' as the default device.
- ensured PCM is selected only, with and without SPDIF Out selected
When I do this, the sound bars on the Xonar DS Audio Centre indicate there is sound, but nothing is playing.
When I try to test it using the sound panel, there is no sound.
The only way I can get sound to work is using the 'LG TV 2-High Definition Audio Device' - it circumvents the Xonar DS Audio Center completely.
I was wondering if anyone could help me out, I've tried everything to no avail.
