I have Windows 8.1 on a fairly new computer (1 yr old) and my WiFi disconnects me almost every time i use it. The weird part is that when i click back into my networks it's still there with 5 bars, it just decides to disconnect me. Any suggestions on help? Please. Thanks

When you have strong signal and still get disconnected it is likely interference. They started to charge money for my favorite program INSSIDER so you need to find a older free copy. You want to see how many other people are using wireless and try to pick something that is the least congested. You could also randomly try channels 1,6 or 11 on your router and see if any work better.

There is a slim possibility it is a software issue so be sure you have the latest drivers for your PC as well as the latest firmware for your router.

Ok, and there's usually only two other people using the internet at the same time as me. It is also the only wiFi i can use so switching won't really help. I'll try and find a copy of the program, thanks so much for the help. c:

Ohhhh, OK, i get it. I think. There actually happen to be ten other sources of WiFi that come up as my options for a network. Yesterday there were only two other networks added and my computer had no problems. I hope that's what you mean because i get it now (ish).
