My sons Soldier of Fortune Payback after some perfect gameplay experiences a loss of weaon impact = crosshairs stop turning red on targetsand STAY WHITE and BULLETS GO THRU ENEMIES AND HAVE ZERO EFFECT and KNIVES AND FISTS HAVE NO EVFFECTon ENEMIES. Both XP and 7 dual boot. Phenom 6 core cpu, 4 gig ram, radeon hd6870, direct x 9 for game and 11 for computer. All other games function fine. At this point character dies because cannott defend himself. I have searched and found absolutely no one talking of this = it happens in both XP and 7. Please someone help ... its v1.1 and patch 1.1 is installed. Also several uninstall and fresh installs tried.

MM sounds like your son may have installed one of the 'cheats' for the game and the game snafu'd now. Personally I like to know how your playing it on "Both XP and 7 Dual boot" as you can only have the license tied to one OS on one system at a time. It be like installing it on two computers and expecting to play it (aka PIRATED game). Further you can't really play a game on a 'dual boot system' if you put the 'game' on a separate drive (install to D) then switch between OSes to 'play it'. ANY application installs other settings and files through out the drive folders, so you don't just run D:\Games\SOF2\ directory and that is it (that worked PRE-XP but since XP and forward code it doesn't install like that anymore).

If you got this off STEAM try uninstalling and reinstalling the game.

Yes he played it on windows 7 and it turned out the same, he is trying it right now with no cheat codes to see if you are correct, and it is not steam, it is a brand new disc version i bought and it did work on both xp and 7 at the same time, since it is only one computer and one ip address i think that constitutes one pc since it can only be used in one windows and not the other at any given moment. Our kaspersky is like that, i have 3 licenses, one for his dual boot computer on xp and 7 which only uses one license an one on mine and on my account it identifies 3 windows being protected but only using 2 licenses. By the way this is SOF3 Payback and it is installed completely separately on each operating system, so xp has absolutely nothing to do with 7 other than being in the one pc. Also i have done all updates and video drivers to this prior to game installing. = = NO IT STILL DOES IT

Have you looked on the company webpage / support forum? Tom's isn't exactly the 'library of knowledge' for every game every made and every problem everyone ever had. Personally when I looked up SOF3 the rating for it were pretty horrid, and usually that means the game has very big issues (maybe this is one?).
