Hello, I have had so much trouble building this mining rig, I cant believe I actually thought if I followed the steps it would be so easy. Here I am 4 months and $4500 later and I still havent even mined a single coin.

Anyways, for now my question is:

How can I tell if the AMD 7950 & 7970 Graphics Cards are working in the BIOS on my MSI z77 GD65 z77 Matherboard.

I have tried installing the with on the Ubuntu 12.04 OS and I followed all the steps to install them in the Terminal but I cant figure out how to check if they are showing on the board.

The 7970 is working I think because I can use it to display the screen. The other two are powered and the fans are working; but, when I inplug the 7970 and plug the monitor into either of the 7950's i only get a black screen.

Both 7950's are powered and the fans are working, one is plugged directly into the motherboard and the other is plugged in using a PCI-E 1x to 16x extension.

Your help is greatly appreciated. I keep going through the steps given on the how to install tutorial I got off the internet; but, this is all very new to me and when it doesn't fo what it says its supposed to when I type in a command, I am stuck and have absolutely no idea what to do from there on.

THx in advance. - Chris
