This is my first custom build.
I was hoping for some criticism constructive or not on my build.
i have a keyboard, mouse and monitor.
i am building a pc on a budget obviously but can be flexible.
If you think it would work please let me know, if there are any direct issues i would encounter please let me know also if you would make any changes to my build to make it run more efficient and quieter please let me know. I am open to suggestions and changes. I just want a custom PC to be able to play old PC games and Diablo 3 and possibly starcraft 2 again.

Any information/advice anyone can give me would be much appreciated!
Thanks in advance for the advice as i said this is my first custom build so i am still learning but eager to get it right!

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/36WTG This is almost $100 over, but your ideal build. The one you suggested has a poor overclocking motherboard, and a $30 cooler won't do anything extra for you unless you're overclocking. It has a better GPU, and a better CPU. You can drop the 8320 for a 6300, and get maybe a 750 to save money.

I would change your heat sink out with a Corsair H80. The larger the fans the quieter it will get. Water cooling allows you to relocate your heat so that you can move it to a large fan such as a 120 mm fan or if you got the space in your case an H100 which uses 2 x 120 mm fans or H110 which uses 2 x 140 mm fans which is even quieter. The smaller the fan the higher the RPM and the more the noise. This again is dependent on your budget and case space. You will need to find the amount of noise you will be willing to put up with verses your budget.

Are you talking about future proofing your system? Is so I would focus on the Power Supply and Case. The larger these are the more future proofed your system is because you can add more GPUs or Larger MoBos if these items are large enough. So I might get a 600 Watt power supply just incase you want to add a second graphics card in the future.

"I just want a custom PC to be able to play old PC games and Diablo 3 and possibly starcraft 2 again. "

Gone are the days when you needed huge CPUs and really fast RAM to play games. Your intense graphics games focus mainly on the GPU so get a decent graphics card. I might get a 660i over the 600 because it will be a better over clocker.

That all being said what you have selected is a decent start and should keep you going for a while. If your budget is $560.00 then I would probably not change any thing unless one of those points you mentioned is really important to you.

Hope it helps.

Diablo 3 doesn't take a fast GPU or CPU. I have a GTX 660 and I play Battlefield 4 on ultra at 60 fps. If you are new to building computers and overclocking then stay with what you have. It will serve you well. If your choice of GTX 660 has good cooling then it should be quiet. Most of your noise in a case will come from the GPU or case fans running not the CPU fan.

I am not worried too much about advancing my PC for future gaming. About the only game i will be playing for a long time to come is Diablo 3 and 2 and starcraft 2.

Thank you for the info. i am continuing to look at different combos
IF i had a firm budget looking to just build a PC to play diablo 3 on High/ultra and my budget is no more than 650/700 USdollars what build would you recommend?
Keeping in mind diablo 2 and diablo 3 are the main and almost only 2 games i plan to play. I am looking for a good build that is fairly quiet and will run smoothly with minimal to no troubleshooting issues.
I would NOT need a monitor, keyboard, mouse or OS i will have Windows 7.
