Hello I been gaming for a long time and I love my PC, it runs most games in good quality but a month ago I got the Star Citzen hangar module and it freezes and the shadows look a bit awkward in some places, I think my PC can't handle the game correctly so in advance for the new generation of games I thought I should get an upgrade.

PC specs:

CPU I5-2400 @ 3.10
RAM 4GB DDR3
GPU GTX460
Motherboard ASUS P8P67 EVO

I had an AMD GPU + CPU like 4 years ago and had to replace that PC, I have very bad experience with AMD, plus everyone tells me AMD drivers suck.

I'm in Spain and the GTX 770/R9 280X are about the same price so i would go with the GTX 770.

Is the GTX 770 2GB DDR5 so much better then the GTX 760 2GB DDR5? It's like a 70€ difference.

Thanks everyone for the answers.

Right now, I don't recommend an AMD R9 series GPU! The prices have gone up because of all the bitcoin miners, availability's a problem too! So.. I'd say getting a GTX 760 or 770. You can play every single game on ultra settings with those GPU's. Get yourself another 4GB RAM, 4GB may be a little to tight..

Hope I helped you! :)

The GTX 770 is better as a GTX 760, may be 20-30fps difference in most games like Battlefield 4.

Now you're talking 'bout AMD huh, I just swapped my R9 270X for a GTX 760 because of AMD's drivers, they just suck! I got black screens, flashing screens and shit, I just was done! haha ;p

OK, I'm going with the MSI GeForce GTX 770 Twin Frozr OC 2GB GDDR5, I'm also installing a new SSD 120GB.

Are the 4GB of RAM going to be a real problem? I really don't want to spend anymore on it but since 8GB aren't that expensive maybe I upgrade it.

If you only got 4GB, it's going to be a problem in Crysis, Battlefield and all the new gen games. I'd get some more.. at least 6GB total

4GB isn't going to cut it these days, 8 or 16GB (to be future proof) is good. Also 8GB is expensive, compared to 6 months ago, you used to be able to buy 8GB of ram for $40, now it's $90-110!
