Lost my google favorites and bookmarks when I upgraded to win8.1

Do you have your google account syncing with Chrome? It usually syncs bookmarks by default. If no, then I can't help. Just a suggestion for the future: Use XMARKS bookmark syncing to sync your bookmarks and keep default bookmark syncing in Chrome off. This helps me use any other popular browser instead of Chrome sometimes and also prevent duplicates in Chrome bookmarks.
