Hello

My PC has the following specs and I'm wondering if ASUS Radeon R7 260X DirectCU II OC 2GD5 will work on it and if its a good choice for having the best quality in Blu Ray playback. Not for games.

OS: Windows 8.1
Motherboard: Asus H81-plus
CPU: Intel i3 4330 3.5Ghz
Memory: 2 x 4GB Kingston Hyper X Genesis 1600Mhz
HDD: Intel 520 SSD 240GB
Blu Ray Pionieer
PSU: Seasonic 550W
Monitor: Dell 27" S2740l
ASUS Radeon R7 260X DirectCU II OC 2GD5 ????

Solution
The difference in power is minimal. I would personally get the R7, unless the warranty is better for the other card. The reason is because of AMDs True Audio, which frankly, is nothing much at this point.
The cards are the same, otherwise.

Hello. My motherboard doesn't have a DVI or HDMI port (only VGA) and I can't play blu ray because they need a DVI or HDMI to play

Sorry about that, searching Google for Asus H81-plus gives H81I-Plus, which I didn't notice (There is an i in that name).

While it would be a much bigger headache, you could use a different motherboard. That would actually be less expensive. Alternatively, and much more simply and equally cost saving, you could get an R7 250X (Basically an HD 7770) or an R7 260 (Without the X) Both would save you a bit of money. That is, unless, you want the AMD True Audio. Then the card you originally selected would be more sensible.

That being said, TheUnknownPC is absolutely correct, it would work.

I know that a motherboard with a HDMI port would be the best solution but I didn't notice that when I bought it.

So the Asus R7 260X OC DC 2GD5 will work as you both said.

I just found this one: Asus Radeon HD7790 2GD5 DirectCU II OC in the same price.

Also in the motherboard Qualified Devices list, there is the 7790 but not the R7260X GPU.

I noticed that the 7790 is 85watt and the R7260X is 110watt.

Which one should I buy?

Thank you.
