I am at an impasse here, I want to upgrade my rig so it can provide a bit more power, but I am torn between buying a second card, or just getting a single gpu.

My rig is as follows:

CPU - FX-8350 @ 4.0
Motherboard - M5a99fx Pro R2.0
RAM - Kingston HyperX Blu 8gb @ 1333
GPU - Asus GTX 660
PSU - Corsair CX600

So the card in question is the GTX 770, now I will say that heat and noise are not an issue for me so no worries on that being a factor.

If i buy a new GTX 660, I will need a new PSU I think, which will run me about 150 or so for one that will be able to provide the power needed.

If I get a single GTX 770 i will not have to get a new PSU.

The issue I have is that either route will cost me about the same so I am not sure which will provide the bigger boost in power, which is what I am primarily looking for.
