According to specs, the cooler is not compatible with socket 1150 cpu's like your 4770k.

Yes you'll be fine with a high-end cooler like that.
Even if you oc'd to 4.3Ghz you'd do well with that cooler provided your case has good airflow.
Btw Karadjgne lga 1150/1155/1156 use the same spacing.

1150 uses the same spacing as the other lga 11xx sockets.
Better question is what case and ram do you have?
It's important to know!
You're kinda all over the place with linking a low profile cooler(93mm tall) and a taller 158mm cooler

Which I think is a better choice of the two coolers you've linked.
It also plays nice with tall ram,so no worries if you ever add more.

I have a D14 cooling my 4770k.

If you just don't want to damage, the stock cooler is fine.
With a little voltage tweaking I got mine to 4.2 under the stock cooler, temps were in the 80's so eventually I put it back to stock.
