FreeSoftToday got into my computer a couple months ago. I uninstalled and deleted all the hazardous items off my computer. After i did a malwarebytes quick scan and deleted all of the infectious files, It came back asking for an update. I always decline it and delete whatt ever it downloads but it still wont go away. What can i do?

Remove your hard drive from your PC, then connect it up to another PC that has GOOD anti-virus software on it, such as Norton Anti-virus, and scan it with the up-to-date Norton AV. Then, once it is cleaned, put it back into the original PC and it should be good, unless the malware has damaged Windows (such as messing up the Registry).

the other way to remove malware is to schedule boot scan or if you have a recue CD and boot it up. I'm using avast antivirus to schedule boot time scan, it is the best way to remove computer viruses if they are not active. since you have a malware infection download the avast internet security 30 day trial it works like a full version once done you may remove it.

I suggest looking for anything strange in the processes tab of task manager.
Do a search on anything that you don't recognize and if it is malware, use open containing folder
then end the process and delete
