Hello everyone,

I have Intel Core i3 540 @ 3.07Ghz , RAM of 2GB (1.86 Usable) , On Board Graphics with highest video memory 1018MB with a monitor that supports 1366X768 resolution ..

If I want to play games like Assasin's Creed , Call of Duty etc , what should be the best thing to update so that I can upgrade my PC in the lowest cost ..

Should I upgrade my RAM or Graphic Card and of how much memory do I need ??

Solution

What he means by bottleneck is when your graphics card puts more info to your cpu than it can compute. If you go with something like the NVidia 750 TI or 760 and even an AMD R7 260 you are not going to have any noticeable lag in performance. But you should also try to upgrade your memory to at least 4 gigs of 1600mhz ram.

If using on chip graphics it is best to use the fastest ram you can afford. I would also recommend at least four gigs. I use ram speed of 1866 for my Haswell core I7 and for now I am using the integrated graphics until I can decide on a good graphics card. I also am using 8 gigs of 1866 speed memory.
