want to upgrade my pc ..

I've got an old desktop .Its specs :1gb ddr2 RAM ,512mb nvidia geforce 8400gs card,Pentium 4processor and Intel mobo.
I wanted 2 upgrade the above for about $180.
2 play games like bf3 AC black flag cod bo2.I don't bother playing in low settings but need some decent frame rate.

This thing is very old, Your cpu will bottleneck new graphics cards. So I dont advise you to put a new grsphics card in it. I think you are Indian. Amp up your budget before upgrading.

Look for second hand,maybe if your motherboard is socket 775 you'll find a nice quad core (if the bios supports it) +some extra ddr2 ram and a nice gpu for that money.With such a gpu you'll still need a good/capable psu.

Is there any website (India) that sells second hand computer hardwares ? Sorry Guys I don't know much about computers .I can increase my budget atmost $225.

You're better off buying a console with that money. You could probably find a used xbox 360 or ps3 for a good price these days. It's a good decision, if you don't know much about computers.

Ok, but what is your psu wattage? Doesn't that processor have an apu? If so, you won't need a graphics card. You'd be able to play on low settings.

I still think a console is easier and safer if you don't know much about computers. You could play all those games on an xbox 360.

The first would be the best since the igp has no ram of it's own and will use system ram and the system itself needs needs to use ram too.Don't think that 4gb will be enough than.

There is no website that sells second hand hardware in India.
Indian hardware sites are flipkart, amazon, snapdeal,mdcomputers, theitdepot etc.
Prices of hardware in Indian market are high. Example a gtx 760 costs $250 is priced at Rs 21000 in India i.e. $ 335 approx.
Dont buy from onternational shipping websites like newegg, ncix etc because there are heavy custom duties on hardware and its procedure is not at all hassle free.
Karthik, I am from India. If you want a decent gaming build, you will have to spend atleast Rs 40000.
