trying to install a corsair h80i to my first pc build, the pump connector is a 3 pin and i only have 4 pin headers on my motherboard. is it possible to install the pump this way, the two fans that came with the cooler are both 4 pin. my mobo is a msi gd-65 z87

you can install a 3 pin to 4 pin or vice versa. If you look closely you'll see the 4 pin header has a notch which forces you to connect it correctly only one way.
