Hello
My Specs are:
Intel Core i5 3470 3.20GHz
MSI B75MA-P45 Motherboard
8Gb Corsair Vengeance Ram
EVGA GTX 770 2Gb Superclocked acx version
OCZ OCZ-ZT650W Power Supply
Seagate Barracuda 2TB
Samsung 840 EVO 120GB SSD (Boot SSD)
SanDisk 64GB Pulse SSD
NZXT Source 210 elite (With 3 Noctua nf-f12 Fans)(1 Exhaust (Back) 2 Intake (top & front)
TWO Hp Pavilion 22xi (Ips) 1080p Monitor's.
Dell TactX Alienware USB Gaming Keyboard

So the problem is that my motherboard only has (1)(4-pin fan connector)and (1)(3-pin fan connector)

I wanted to connect 2 fans to the (4-pin) so I can monitor the RPM. Noctua fans come with (Y-cable)( splitter) and Low Noise Adapter.

I wanted to connect the fans to low noise adapters and then connect the adapters to the splitter and the splitter to motherboard.

2 fans > low noise adapters > y-cable (splitter) > motherboard.

But when I connect it like this and turn on my Pc the fans dont spin! Why?
I've done some reserch and came across linus tech tips and his video and he done the thing Im trying to do and it worked for him and not for me. Please help.

Thanks

Do the fans work without the low noise adapter when connected to the Y cable?

Are you also controlling the fans speeds inside the bios?

You may need to turn off the fan speed setting in the BIOS as some fane require 5V to start spinning.

The fans work without the Low noise adapters, i have both of them hooked up to Y-cable. In bios the "SysFan1" is set to 50% because when it was on auto it was running at idel at 70%. So i turned it down to 50 and made a graph in MSI Control centre. Also when i connect the fans to Y-cable with Low noise adapters they seem to move a tiny bit and go back, if i push them with my hand they spin fine. Its like they try to spin but they dont have enought power.. also can someone recommend a good Fan control sofware "i tried fan speed" but its not working. I also purchased a bequiet! Dark Rock 2 CPU cooler 2 mins ago to change my stock as its very lound hope this wont interfear with noctua fans?

+Also i just want to ask because i dont want to make new thread, My power supply ( www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0068ODTZA/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ) IS there any way to make it quieter because ive read that its manufacture foult and the fan runs at 100% all the time. I wanted to change it but it already was 2 months since i bought it and they dont want to accept the return. I want to make my PC QUIET! thats why i changed all the fans cpu coolers etc. Thanks

remove the fan speed adapter and set the profile in the bios to run at a speed you want. You do not need both fan speed reducer and a low speed setting in your bios.

Either you choose one or the other or get fans that require less power to start spinning.
