i5 4440 + gtx 660 ti vs i3 4330 + gtx 670

Solution
I would go for the i5 4440 + 660 Ti, because the processor is faster and you could upgrade the GPU later and have a better system. The 660 ti is plenty capable of playing modern games at medium-high settings.

What do you base this opinion on? For CPU intensive games the i5 is superior. The 660ti will be obsolete the same time the 670 is. I would recommend a 660 ti, a 760, or a 770 depending on budget, but I wouldn't recommend a 670 regardless.

In any situation for current games, the i3 + 770 will play better than an i5 + 660 Ti. And why would you ever recommend a 660 Ti when a 760 is cheaper and better? Further, the 670 is a better card than a 760 - not by much, but it is better.

660 ti is around 200$, 760 around 250$, 770 around 330$.

And I stand by my decision of the options given. Some countries the 770 is off the charts expensive and it may be out of the question. I don't argue the point that a 770 and i3 will be fastest, but that wasn't the question. The 770 is a 680 overclocked, and considerably faster than the other cards

The 660 ti +i5 is a better overall - you won't run into CPU related overclocks and have a MUCH better "future proof" scenario with the faster CPU you can just upgrade the GPU at a later date.
