With all the new AM1 APU's and Motherboards coming out from Asus, Gigabyte, MSI & the like, there's not been a lot of information concerning them that's come out!

Does anyone on here know much information about them? I'm wanting to use one for streaming HD video from my other PC's, but I dont know if they'll be powerfull enough to do that. My other option would be to get a Haswell Celeron and a nVidia GT610, but that would be a LOT more expensive (in terms of the entire PC being under £200)

Which method would be the best bet at this?

Based on reviews of laptops with the Kabini APU, I would not recommend any socket AM1 build. I would say a large minority (greater than 30%, but less than 50%) have complained that the laptops they bought with a Kabini APU was at best sluggish for their needs. In most cases it seems people decided to simply buy another more expensive laptop. That meant they ended up spending more money in the long run 'cuz they either sold their Kabini APU laptop at a loss on eBay, or simply use it as an expensive paperweight.

It'd be one of their new "Athlon/Sempron APU's" on a desktop Mobo that i'd use.. Just the fact that the MB manufacturers have put HDMI & DVI ports on the MB and have 4k Jargon on their sites made me think it would be able to stream 1080p videos.
It would only be used for iPlayer, Streaming from my main rig and light internet browsing, so i'm not fussed about if it's that quick.. Only if it CAN do it (properly) or not!
