CM Hyper 212 EVO vs Xigmatek Gaia

So my friend offered to trade his CM Hyper 212 EVO for my Xigmatek Gaia. As prices and performance goes they are comparable. The reason why he wants to trade is because my Xigmatek Gaia seems quieter than his 212 EVO and he doesn't overclock. This is probably due to the 212 EVO having a faster fan. Do you think I should make the trade? The Gaia is the same price as the 212 EVO where I live which is $37.

As far as I know they are virtually the same the CM fans are just faster for better cooling. As long as you trust him not to give you one with a bad fan I don't see why not.

I have used 2 Gaia and 4 EVO on systems and they are both very close, with the Hyper 212 EVO being maybe 1-2c cooler.

Do you think I should keep the Gaia or trade for the EVO? My 4670K at 4.2GHz hits around 75C on the AIDA64 stress test. Idle low 30C and load on games 50-60C. Would the EVO be better for overclocking? I know temps are practically identical with the 4670K on stock speeds.

I do love the screw mounting system on the Gaia, but then again I've never installed a EVO before; I heard it uses some scissor mounting system.

Thanks guys. I think I'll just stick with the Gaia for now. I like my PC to be quiet anyways and 1-2C difference or even 5C doesn't justify the switch.
