Hi, I recently had a new computer built, with Windows 7 32-bit on it. I noticed that it only addressed 4gb of the 8gb RAM in my machine. I did some research and have decided to upgrade to 64-bit.

I'm wondering if this means I'll have to reinstall all my games and programs (120gb or more in downloads) or if I can just do a reinstall, with files remaining on current hard drive, or if I will have to move it all over and copy it back on.

PC specs:
Intel i5-4440 @3.1 ghz
8GB RAM
Nvidia Geforce 660 Ti
Win7 Home Basic 32-bit.

Thanks in advance!

Ergh. Alright. D'you think programmes would work if I just dumped the hard drive onto an external, did a clean install, then dumped them back on? I don't mind if a few don't, but for the larger majority would that work?

No they way 64bit windows handles the install, registry and location of the files is different from 32bit they will have to be reinstalled from the installers.
